Starfish Fungus (Aseroe rubra)

This fungus originally came from New Zealand, but somehow found it's way to a Surrey woodland just 5 miles from my home, still its only site in the northern hemisphere.
I had been looking for this species for over 15 years, and was finally shown the precise location this year by a good friend and expert photographer!
